Synopsis:

“The Good Life” is a witty re-imagining of the classic 1970s sit-com, adapted by Jeremy Sams and based on the hugely popular episodes written by John Esmonde and Bob Larbey ….

When Tom and Barbara Good reach a mid life crises and decide to exchange the rat race for an alternative, more self-sustaining way of life, this presents problems for neighbours Gerry and Margot Leadbetter who live next door and are trying to maintain the ‘Surbiton middle-class status quo!’

Characters (All age group 40s – 50s):

Tom Good: Energetic, Humorous, Hard Working, Enthusiastic (irritatingly so)
Barbara Good: Feisty but Funny, Agreeable , Slightly ‘tomboyish’
Margot Leadbetter: Elegant, a Social Climber, Snobbish.
Gerry Leadbetter: Conventional, Smartly presented, Henpecked Husband of Margo

Other Characters: (to be played by two other actors, one male, one female)

Sir (Gerry’s Boss) also plays Harry the Pigman, Policeman, and Dr. Joe.
Margaret the Secretary, Milkwoman, and Mary the Receptionist.
